![]() I had this same problem when I tried to connect to a friend's hotspot a couple weeks ago (I don't remember if it was also T-Mobile or another provider, though). Is it something with my computer? I have a Compaq Presario CQ60. Another person said I should have about 20 seconds to type in my password, so it shouldn't be timing out so quickly. I have Windows Vista and one of the tech support people mentioned that Windows Vista sometimes has problems connecting with handshake devices (but he didn't know how to fix it). When I click "Diagnose the problem" it says there was a timeout. However, after I immediately enter my password, it says that it cannot connect. When I try to connect via wifi to my hotspot, my computer can detect the network. My Wii can connect wirelessly to the the hotspot, but my laptop can only connect to the internet through the USB cord (which it's really not supposed to, because that's supposed to be for charging the device). It can connect to the T-Mobile network and appears to be working fine. ![]() I just purchased a T-Mobile hotspot (ZTE) yesterday. ![]() T-Mobile's tech support can't seem to figure out my problem so I'm hoping someone here can help. ![]()
